We’re Relatable hosts, Matt Evans and Missy Stevens, at the 2019 Moontower Comedy Festival in Austin, TX.
COMING SOON!
Siblings and native Austinites, Missy and Matt bring you We’re Relatable, a half-hour of brilliantly funny* conversation about family connections… and disconnections. They look at sibling relationships, particularly how people raised in the same house can be startlingly different yet clearly related.
As creative types themselves, Matt and Missy explore what makes family funny, what inspires them and others to make art, and the role our shared experiences play in all of it.
They also love to talk about Austin, especially since they remember Austin before it was weird, when it was just home. They interview creative guests about their families, artistic processes, and Austin experiences.
*They make each other laugh, and are pretty sure they can make you laugh, too.
About the Hosts
Matt Evans is an equine veterinarian, oil painter of landscapes, and stand up comedian. He is only a professional at one of those and, no, it's not the one we're making this podcast about. Matt and his wife, Ellen, have two daughters. Ellen and the girls are better than he deserves. Matt is also a brother to Missy and, yes, that is what we're making this podcast about.
Missy Stevens is a copywriter, aspiring novelist, advocate for foster children, and Instagram sensation.* She also loves to study - and talk about - comedy. Some people** have encouraged Missy to finish the second draft of her book before we die already. So that’s the goal. Missy and her husband, Mark, have two sons. The guys in her house are immeasurably patient with her, and show her every day what love looks like. (Note: sometimes it looks like more than one pair of dirty socks under the sofa.) Missy is also Matt’s sister, hence the sibling angle to this podcast.
*If 40-ish followers, most of them related to her, equals a sensation.
**Her husband, children, brother, mother, and all of her girlfriends who are so sick of hearing about it.
